The K Group Real Estate Offers Full Service Property Management for Service Members moving away from the Fort Knox area.

Many military homeowners near Fort Knox planned to sell their homes after receiving PCS orders. But today’s market has created a different reality.  As prices on homes have stabilized these last few years, military members may not have accumulated enough equity where selling would make sense.

Instead of selling and potentially losing money after all of the expenses are paid, many owners are choosing to rent their home and become what’s commonly called an “accidental landlord.”

At The K Group Real Estate, we help military families transition from homeowner to landlord with professional property management designed specifically for remote ownership.

When Selling Doesn’t Make Financial Sense

We’re seeing this situation more and more with military families:

  • You purchased a home a few years ago.
  • You expected values to rise enough to sell comfortably, similar to what occured during the COVID years.
  • Then PCS orders arrive, but the market hasn’t appreciated enough to make selling the best option.

Rather than taking a loss or walking away from low-interest financing, many owners are choosing to hold the property as a rental until the market improves.

For many families, renting becomes the smarter long-term financial decision.

Becoming an Accidental Landlord Comes With Challenges

Most military families never planned to become landlords.

Suddenly, you’re trying to figure out:

  • How to rent the home
  • How to screen tenants
  • What to do about maintenance
  • How to manage the property from another duty station
  • How to protect the property while living states away

Managing a rental remotely can quickly become stressful without a trusted local team in place.

That’s where we help.

Property Management for Military Owners Near Fort Knox

The K Group Real Estate works with military homeowners throughout the Fort Knox area who need reliable local oversight after relocation.

Our services include:

  • Tenant screening and placement
  • Rent collection and financial reporting
  • Maintenance coordination
  • Lease enforcement
  • Move-in and move-out inspections
  • Vacancy management
  • Communication with tenants on your behalf

We help owners protect their property while removing the stress of remote management.

A Local Team That Understands Military Relocation

As a Veteran-Owned business, we understand military moves come with uncertainty, deadlines, and enough stress already.

Our team understands:

  • PCS timelines
  • Remote ownership concerns
  • The Fort Knox Region rental market
  • The challenges of managing a property from another state or country

Many of our clients are military families who simply needed a trusted local team after realizing selling wasn’t the right option in the current market.

Local Market Knowledge Matters

We serve owners throughout:

  • Fort Knox area
  • Hardin County
  • Meade County
  • Elizabethtown
  • Radcliff
  • Rineyville
  • Vine Grove

Because we are locally based in Radcliff, just outside the main gate of Fort Knox, we understand the unique rental demand created by the military presence in the area and how to position homes competitively in the market.

How the Process Works

1. Schedule a Call

We discuss your property, relocation timeline, and goals.  During this time, we answer all of your questions so you know if renting is right for you.

2. Receive a Rental Evaluation

We review rental pricing and what to expect in the market for your home.  Everyone wants top dollar when selling and renting, but we will share realistic expectations based on market rent rates.

3. Transition the Home Into a Rental

We help prepare the property, get it marketed with professional photography, virtual tours, and drone photography, handle tenant screening and placement, and provide ongoing management.

4. Move Forward With Confidence

You relocate knowing your property has local oversight and professional management in place.  Meanwhile, you have remote access to view our property management software to see payments, work orders, and generate financial reports to have oversight on your home from anywhere in the world.

How are we Different?

The K Group Real Estate is a Veteran-Owned business that understands the needs of Service Members, concerns of the military families, and the demands of the military.

While serving in the US Army, our founders purchased homes at various duty stations.  When it was time to PCS, they handed the responsibility of managing the homes over to local property managers.  During our Broker's 20 years of service, he was deployed to Afghanistan and was stationed in Europe with his family.  All while their homes were rented out and managed by property managers.

Our goal is to provide the same full-service property management to other Service Members so they can grow financially through rental income, property appreciation, and debt paydown from monthly rent payments, all while taking advantage of tax benefits that become available to homeowners who become landlords.

You Don’t Have to Navigate Becoming a Landlord Alone

If PCS orders changed your plans and selling no longer makes sense, renting your home may be the right move. But you shouldn’t have to manage it by yourself from another duty station.

The K Group Real Estate helps military families transition into successful rental ownership with local property management designed for remote owners.
